Hi, My name is Crystal Watson. I live in Millers Creek NC. On 6-9-2015 my two male pitbulls escaped from their lot at my home. I searched tirelessly for my dogs day and night from the very second that I realized that they had escaped. I posted on every FB page that I know and called the pound and vet non stop in desperation to find my dogs. I went to the animal shelter of Wilkes County yesterday and my dogs weren't there so I decided to go back today... TODAY (6-11-2015) the Wilkes County animal shelter informed me and my two small children that they had euthanized my dogs on 6-10-2015. According to the animal shelter my beloved dogs were picked up as strays and had been put to sleep after only a few hours of them arriving to the shelter because of "lack of space" and the claimed that they mis-read the card and thought my dogs had been turned over to them. They could only say to me that it was an "honest mistake"... These weren't just any dogs! They grew up with my children, they were part of our family, and most importantly they were LOVED dearly!!! I am looking for any help to prevent this type of tragedy from ever happening again here in honor of Pete and Brim. Help me bring justice. I appreciate any help. Thank you!!
