Most people will think from the title of this petition that it is a kind of begging mercy for the animals but i want to let know all the people that animals, birds, reptiles and insects are the backbone of eco system just like we say forests are the lungs of universe on which human dependency is 100%

I want to discuss here about the illegal poaching of wild animals in foothills of Shivalik range coming under Punjab because it has become a hobby not only for villagers but for some outsiders also. Punjab is not known much in terms of wildlife but it would be a surprise for most of the people out of Punjab that instead of wild boar, Roze and Sambhar deer, Shivalik range forests are the home of Cheetal, Barking Deer, Hog deer, Badgers, Porcupines, Black bucks, Pangolins, Caracals, Pythons and specially Leopards. Earlier there were groups of Hynas in Hoshiarpur District just 15 years back from now and i myself is the eye witness of hynas who are no where in this range right now because of the ignorance of people and department of wildlife.

Some important things which need to taken care:

1. Establish an empthetic relation between wildlife and villagers

2. Compensation process of damage of livestock and crops by wild animals must be fast

3. Some cooperative socities must be formed for the villagers living near the vicinity of forests & get their products proper marketed to empower them financially so that they can not get involved in the poaching activities

4. Kind of "Junglie Jeev Mitra" campaign in effected villages should initiate to establish an emotional relation between people and wild animals

5. The hunting permits to outside people who are not farmers should be avoided

6. Status of record of hunted animals during permit period

7. Keep check whether the permit holder hunts according to norms or not.

8. The Poachers must not get released without imprisonment in poaching cases.

9. The Awareness activities about importance of nature & wildlife should run  continuously 

Dear Friends, it is very important issue not for wildlife but for our coming generations because these species came even before our Lords and made the environment for their Survival So i request you to associate in this matter and raise the VOICE FOR VOICELESS WILDLIFE and i also request the competent authorities to intervene the matter to protect Nature & Wildlife
