Dear Sir/Madam
Re: A/15/81175/CU
Location - The Fleece Hotel 9-11 Warrington Rd, Ashton in Makerfield WN4 9PL
This letter serves to confirm our objection to planning permission for a night club above The Fleece public House with extended opening hours until 4.30am, on behalf of Ashton's Residents Association.
The reasons for this are as follows:
Location - the proposed location of a night club within a residential area and next to St Thomas's church within Ashton town centre conservation area
Noise pollution- the already inadequate sound proofing at The Fleece public house
Antisocial behaviour - the high level of antisocial behaviour already experienced by residents of Ashton due to extended drinking licences. Evidence of which can also be witnessed in Ashton at increased levels when Haydock Park Races are taking place and people have been drinking alcohol all day and into the evening
Increased pressure on emergency services - an already stretched police and ambulance service which struggles to respond to the level of antisocial behaviour we currently experience in our town
We invite you to come and discuss these issues with us at a time convenient to you.
Yours sincerely
Victoria Halliwell
Secretary
Ashton Residents Association
