On Friday, March 4th 2022 the St. Thomas More Cavaliers took on Fuller Academy in a WIAA playoff game. Throughout the game Fuller Academy continued to play physical, and with this occurring the entire attendance started to feel that the game could go south rather quick. With just 44 seconds remaining on the clock a fuller player decided to step over one of St. Thomas More. Which the Thomas More player pushed him. Fuller decided at that time it was the right time to square up and start an all out brawl. Punches started to fly. But, this was not a fight. This was one sided. The Thomas More players decided to keep calm, hold teammates back and defend themselves from flying punches from fuller players and now fuller parents storming the court. Not a single punch was thrown from STM. They defended their teammates and did everything possible to keep under control. Fans and Parents from STM continued to show the same patience and morals to keep calm and not incite any more harm that was being given to them. With this, the Thomas More basketball team, a 1 seed in the WIAA playoffs was kicked out unjustified. We as the fans, parents, players and people just wanting to do right must let this team continue. They did nothing wrong and this punishment is unfair and unjustified. Sign this petition to support all the players and especially the seniors that ended their careers with this ruling from the WIAA.
