Whole Foods Market instituted Animal Welfare ratings for the meat it sells. While this is great, they also still sell veal, a meat that is raised in an extremely inhuman manner based on a form of torture.

This seems contradictory at best, and ethically wrong at worst. I'd like to ask Whole Foods to stop selling veal.

There is precedent as they do not sell live lobsters in a tank in the overwhelming majority of their locations (only in Maine) due to the conditions the lobsters are in. Lobsters in a tank have it far better than calves raised to be veal, so I would ask them to extend their reasoning to help diminish demand for veal and end the cruel treatment these calves are subjected to.
