Petitioning Whole Foods and 1 other

Whole Foods: Please stop selling Toms of Maine products in your stores, they test on animals.

This petition is important because Tom's of Maine has been lying to consumers about testing their products on animals for the last 6 years. They were bought out by Colgate-Polmolive in 2006, and have confirmed in email they now do some testing on animals. Their website indicates they are cruelty free and they use the cruelty free symbol, which is very misleading. Whole Foods has a long standing for selling only cruelty free products so they should pull Tom's from their shelves because this is very dishonest, on Tom's part of course. I have been purchasing Toms products the last 6 years under the assumption that they are cruelty free, and I feel cheated as this is a cause that is very dear to my heart. If Whole Foods pulls Tom's from their shelves, this will be a step towards showing the Colgate-Polmolive company they cannot lie to consumers about the product, just because Tom's decided to sell out to a greedy corporation instead of remaining true to their product.
