As many of you may know, we have a few cats here on our beautiful campus who, like us, call this place home. For the most part, these cats keep to themselves but they can also be very friendly and loving. They don't bite or hiss, they pose no threat to the well being of the Coker community, and they do an excellent job of taking care of themselves without costing the college a dime. With that being said, I urge the Coker powers at be to WELCOME THESE CATS TO OUR CAMPUS BY LETTING THEM STAY. These cats aren't bothering anyone. In fact, they are actually HELPING the campus by controlling the snake and rat population. I ask you, which would you rather have a few harmless cats strolling around campus, or an entire infestation of rats in the dorms, cafeteria, classrooms, etc? The answer to that is simple. Sure, you could make a much bigger problem for yourselves and call Animal Control to remove the cats, and by doing so, sentence the poor creatures to certain death. Do you really want to have the murder of these sweet, innocent animals on your conscience? No? Then do yourselves and them, a favor by SAVING COKER'S CATS.
