Copeland Borough Council are asking for your views on two potential sites for use as gypsy traveller accommodation in Copeland. The consultation will run for six weeks between the 21st March 2022 and 3rd May 2022. I am asking residents of Whitehaven to sign this petition which is strongly against both proposed sites. I am asking the residents of Whitehaven to follow the lead of Whitehaven Town Council who voted to reject both sites at a full Town Council meeting dated 31/03/2022. The grounds for opposing the two sites are... I believe not enough consideration has been given to more suitable areas to host this site within Copeland.
