White River, Mpumalanga has had endless water problems for many years now. The water is turned off for days at a time often without any notice period. This happens more often than not and the excuses we are given often don't make any sense or are hard to believe because they have not done something yet to fix the problem; like security at the pump. Numerous families with children are left without running water in their homes for sometimes up to 7 days at a time. I feel that the residents have been exceptionally patient with the municipality but I am of the opinion now that they are taking their kindness for advantage. Something needs to be done now, once and for all! The problem needs to be escalated and investigated. It simply cannot continue this way! We are petitioning Carte Blanche to expose the incompetence that White River residents and their families have had to endure for so long. Each signature will be a letter sent to Carte Blanche and other interested parties.
