Thanks to the amazing support from the ACT culinary and hospitality community, we have achieved our goal of having Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery added to the final ACT Skills Needs List. This means there is a very good chance this qualification will be funded in the ACT from 2017. This is tremendous news for the ACT Culinary Industry and will help ease the skills and labour shortage and help rebuild and strengthen the industry in the ACT. We would also like to acknowledge the efforts of the ACT Government through Skills Canberra to not only consult with industry but listen and respond accordingly to its needs.
