‘Crimes committed by children aged 10 to 17 hit highest level since 2010’.

These figures are not unexpected, as a pattern of escalation in this group of criminals has been consistent and will continue to grow. At the same time, uninterested politicians and other community luminaries employ no effective strategy to counter this, irrespective of what the minister may say.

While the immediate impact of kiddie crime may grab the headlines, the long-term consequences are the ones that we should be truly concerned about. These 'little crims' grow into big ones, further eroding the community safety we yearn for...
