Demand Wheelchair Access to all Public Places.

The Issue

People in wheelchairs are being discriminated against. They should be able to access everywhere that able bodied people can. My own granddaughter is a wheelchair user and we have to phone ahead to shops, cafes, restaurants government buildings, and even public houses to see if they have wheelchair access, which they often do not.  This makes wheelchair users who want to go out alone much less likely to do so and can result in feelings of depression and isolation. Public transport can also be difficult for wheelchair users as many tube stations and cab companies are also not accessible for wheelchair users, making travelling alone extremely difficult if not impossible.

I think that wheelchair access should be a "norm" in all public places. I cannot understand why this is not a law already. Even if every place had a portable ramp, this would be a start.
