The HORRIFYING TRUTH about BABY ELEPHANTS in tourism

The HORRIFYING TRUTH about BABY ELEPHANTS in tourism
The Issue
I didn’t know. Most probably you don’t either so keep on reading if you CARE for elephants.
The name is PAHAJAAN.
It means CRUSH THE SPIRIT in South East Asia.
It is a well known form of torturing BABY ELEPHANTS to make them useful for tourist exploitment.
I will tell you some details, please be careful if you are too sensitive, it took my sleep off for days.
Phajaan: separate the spirit from the body.
As BABIES, they take them away from their mothers and put them in a TINY CAGE, big enough only for them to stand but not sit or move around at all.
Then they're LITERALLY BEATEN, for days on end, in the most cruel ways possible.
They’re also forced to witness the TORTURE and murder of their MOTHERS.
The elephant TRUNK is so sensitive, and it's how they eat and explore the world. But during phajaan, they'll often be encouraged to stick out their trunks to smell or investigate something, but then their trunks are BEATEN with bats and spears and whips.
The elephants are DEPRIVED of food, POKED with sticks and blades, KICKED, and screamed at. They play terrible mind games with them.
The idea, in the end, is to crush this animal's spirit so much that they are just an EMPTY SHELL who will listen to every command.
And then they are SOLD to tour operators for elephant rides and treks and the illegal LOGGING industry.
Like obedient ROBOTS with no emotion.
A life of ABUSE and CHAINS is what awaits them.

Please DO NOT SUPPORT any elephant-related tourist trap activities (i.e. painting elephants, elephant rides, elephant painting, etc)
But I want MUCH MORE for those poor creatures.
Thailand has at least 27 laws concerning the protection of elephants and is the only country in the world where elephants are classified as both wild and " DOMESTIC ", where the latter definition allows exploitation. THEY ARE PRIVATE PROPERTY.
I want LAWS and regulations so I kindly ask you to join me signing and asking to the MINISTRY OF NATURAL RESOURCES and ENVIRONMENT of THAILAND;
Ministry executive: : Mr. Jatuporn BURUSPAT, Permanent Secretary;
Minister responsible: Varawut SILPA-ARCHA, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment
1- ELIMINATE the status of ‘domestic animals’ for all more than 3000 elephants in the country, transferring them under the Wildlife preservation and protection act 1992;
(Remove domesticated elephants from the Beast of Burden Act and place them under the Protection of Wildlife Conservation Act 1992; Owners can continue to care and work the elephants through a permit. Transfer of ownership or the permit should be firmly restricted. In cases of violations, the permits can be revoked, and the animal can then be confiscated. All elephants born after confiscation should become government property.)
2- prohibit the commercial exploitation of elephants and increase the FINES related to abuse in all senses as a real deterrent;
3- speed up the a REGULATION of the arising ethical sanctuaries providing strict rules and requested resources, to avoid fake commercial sanctuaries to florish;
4- speed up the new LAW, the Asian Elephant Tourism Bill, to prohibit companies advertising and selling holidays that feature ABUSIVE attractions.
The GOVERNMENT of Thailand has in its OWN HANDS the lives of these elephants. As a Thai gentleman said:
“We put elephants in every temple in God’s name and pray to them. But in real life we abuse them.”
Elephants are in Thai’s flag. Let it not be the shame of the country.
If you read this far, I hope you will join me demonstrating that CARING PEOPLE RULE!
Let’s hit 1 MILLION SIGNATURES ANG GET THEIR SOULS BACK!
The era of pahajaan is OVER!
Thank you ❤️
