Early Voting in Sarasota starts Aug. 8, but so far the races are taking place in a news vacuum. Where are the public forums, debates, and analytical articles that would, in a time of Pandemic, enable us to meet the candidates and learn what they stand for?

Sarasota's politicians by and large are groomed by developers and builders. In 2020, new faces from both parties have entered the races, yet no local "mainstream media" organization has met its responsibility to talk with them in depth..

Where are the hard-hitting Independent Press and TV News to grill candidates on the many issues and realities of our community?

Voters are starved for genuine information about people we are asked to vote for. Will our media step up, or is candidate information only provided to developers?
