The Dungeness Crab Fishermen of Bodega Bay, CA and Marine Fishery District 10 have an urgent message for the public. As a result of lawsuits filed by NGO's, the west coast commercial crab industry is in jeopardy. We urge you to reject the premature and under-developed rope-less (pop-up) gear bill, AB-534. We also request you update the stock assessment of humpback whales with accurate data and end the unprecedented, ongoing season closures affecting our commercial crab fishermen.
