The Board of Education of the Weston public school system has decided to hold the 2018 high school graduation inside the high school gym. In previous years, the ceremony has been held outdoors under a rented tent. This decision, made exclusively by the Board of Ed without any previous discussion with the class of 2018, is hasty and unfair to the students. It is speculated that this decision has been made due to a decrease in state funding and a consequential revision of the annual budget. We are petitioning for the decision to be reviewed, and for alternative, potentially more cost-effective options to be explored.
