On Thursday 15/5/14 a man was in the parents room in Chatswood Westfield, spying on women breastfeeding their babies. Security was told and they refused to contact police despite admitting that they had images of this perverted man on CCTV footage. This is not the first incident of a sexual predator committing an offense in a parents room. 

It is important for Westfield to take the safety of women and children seriously. Perhaps they should position panic buttons inside parents rooms so that women can alert security if they and/or their children are in danger.

There should be signs about CCTV footage being taken outside parents rooms in order to help deter sexual predators from trespassing in these rooms to take advantage of women and children.

Security should be ensuring the safety of all customers by immediately calling police and assisting them to locate these criminals. We want to feel safe in parents rooms, not feel like we have just become easy targets by entering the rooms with our children
