Remove the use for plastic, single-use straws in Western Sydney University!

Single use plastic is one of the greatest pollutants in the world.

Western Sydney University widely uses plastic straws even though they are extremely harmful to our wildlife and natural environment. It takes approximately 200 years for a single straw to decompose, and even then it only breaks down into smaller bits of plastic!

Plastic straws are one of the least needed plastic items so getting rid of them altogether would be an amazing reduction in plastic waste production with minimal impact to peoples lives.
