Khar Subway is an old, dilapidated construction which is already over-  burdened by heavy rail movement overhead and heavy traffic underneath creating major bottlenecks for East-West connectivity. Situations are unimaginable if this collapses, many will perish and it will bring rail connectivity to an abrupt halt, paralysing Mumbai.

A systematic plan must be augmented and implemented in earnest to construct an overhead bridge for vehicular and pedestrian traffic between the  east-west and block the subway via strengthening it for the railway movement.
