Galway county council executive pulled a stroke recently making a submission to the independent consultants looking at the closed Western Rail Corridor. The council executive made a submission to the consultants basically saying Galway county council only supported the re-opening of the railway, the submission made no mention of the widespread support for a greenway on the closed railway.  EY consulting have been made aware of this issue and have been asked to disregard the submission.  We have a "quick hit" petition up and running challenging Galway Council executive - please sign it if you can we intend keeping it in place for a week or so.  Thanks Brendan.  The link is below https://www.change.org/p/kkelly-galwaycoco-ie-galway-county-council-retract-letter-sent-to-ey-consulting-about-western-rail-corridor
