Sligo Greenway co-op the organisation set up to lead the community drive for the Sligo section of the Western Rail Trail , "The Sligo Greenway" will be working with Sligo county council to apply for funding under the new National Greenway Strategy for a greenway from Collooney to Charlestown. This is a huge leap for the Western Rail Trail Campaign. To show the project has community backing, Sligo Greenway Co-op is reaching out to recruit new members and guess what you can become a member of the co-op for as little as €1 yes One Euro. You can buy one euro shares for yourself and for members of your family. All the money raised from people joining the co-op is used to fund things like the feasibility study (already completed) and other greenway related issues. If you become a member you become part of the Greenway movement in Sligo, you will be kept informed of greenway events and the progress the co-op is making on the project.
