Thank you everyone who has signed or share this petition so far!
On 4/12, myself and another McLean resident met with the Assistant Director at Housing and Residence Life on campus. She was incredibly kind, compassionate, and willing to listen to every single issue we had. There were 5 specific things she told us that she would make sure to take the initiative of improving, including better communication about maintenance requests, better communication from housing staff when issues arise, and working closer with the company that provides our laundry facilities. This meeting left me feeling validated and more trusting that the future will be better. We have been in contact via email the last couple of days and I am working to get into contact with the appropriate person to discuss financial compensation.
Shout out to BG Daily News for interviewing me and publishing an article about this issue. And shout out to the WKU Herald for doing the same. I appreciate all of the support from the Bowling Green community!
The fight is not over yet. I am grateful for my opportunity to sit down with the assistant director with HRL, and I am glad that the future looks better. However, I am not giving up until the residents of McLean from the 2021-2022 school year receive some form of compensation for the issues that started the day we moved in and have continued to happen since then.
Also- I have added a couple more things to the original petition and signified that it was added later.
