WMU- Return to online classes for Spring 2022
WMU- Return to online classes for Spring 2022
Western students have expressed a deep concern for classes going back in person. With family, friends, and themselves getting sick it’s no telling the number of cases rising if we are required to be on campus. Students living in dorms with close capacity to students that may not be doing their best to ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe environment are constantly worried about contracting this ever changing virus. We want Western to take into consideration our health & safety instead of our money.
Many students can not attend the first week of classes because they’re stuck at home with Covid. These students will not be able to get the necessary supplies to be set up for success.
Administration plans to wait to see how many Covid case’s are on campus in the first two weeks and if it’s bad they’re going to pivot online. Many students have expressed concerns for their classes and the health risk of coming back and meeting in person.
The University should not be gambling with students health is okay especially when things can be prevented. Call the presidents office 269-387-2351, email the president at office-of-the-president@wmich.edu and reach out to professors.
