Individuals who strongly believe in democracy must raise the alarm about concerning issues that strike at the core of our values. The Chinese Communist Party's atrocities from computer hacking to human rights violations present a global challenge that we cannot ignore. It's disturbing and abhorrent to see western democratic governments continue trade and investments with a regime that poses the single biggest risk to global democracy.

China's interference in democratic elections, propaganda fueling, cybersecurity threats, unfair trade practices such as the Belt & Road and infringement of copyrights are among the forms of aggression we are witnessing today. Moreover, gruesome reports of immorally harvesting organs from live healthy individuals to cater to the elites represent a gross disregard for human life and rights. As stewards for the principles of democracy, freedom, and fairness, we cannot let this continue.

To combat this, it is essential for all Western democracies to take immediate action and stop manufacturing in China as well as ban all investments from China, including donations to universities and research in all fields. By doing so, we not only safeguard our industries and innovations but also show solidarity with the citizens of China, who we hope will one day experience life in a free democracy.

We believe that the path to a better future lies in unity, standing together against the tyranny of any oppressive regime, including the Chinese Communist Party. The change begins with us.
