From Chrissy Martin Lewis Oct 19th, 1:47pm = "I shared [the petition] several times. The last time I wrote this: Our team is Martins Ferry Cross Country. I am going to share this one more time. This bridge is so important to my cross country team. We now have bus drivers complaining constantly about our kids running to the course up at the school. We have people that complain when we run in the cemetery (and the road there is getting awful). We need somewhere to run and this is the best route. Otherwise we have to cross 250 or go out the pike. We run the bridge to get to the trail in Wheeling. If it is not safe then they will tear it down, but even if it is safe they may still tear it down. Please sign this to let them know we want it cleaned up and fixed not torn down. Sunday maybe the last day I or anyone else gets to us that bridge. That would be very sad for us and very dangerous."
