So a group of us spent the whole day today doing a group photo shoot on the bridge, since it will be closed for inspection this week, and we don't know what will happen after that. Had a great time, got awesome images, and most importantly, I talked to everyone who passed by us on the bridge today. Island and Ohio people alike ALL said they don't know what they are going to do next week when the bridge is closed, one of them concerned how he was going to get to his job. All said they love the bridge and have no idea why it was scheduled for demolition in the first place. A few of them asked me if I was "Karen", and I have to tell you, that warmed my heart like I can't put into words. I'm tearing up now typing this. I hope I've made a difference. But I have a lot of GREAT people helping who are more important than me. I guess what I want to say is, don't ever let anyone tell you you can't do anything or you can't stop something that is wrong. Or that you're nobody and no one cares what you think. Always stand up for the right thing and what you believe in!
