Today, someone mentioned to me, that the Aetnaville Bridge is "a convenience" and not a necessity, and that he did not believe that people walk to work (to Kroger, Bob Evans, etc.), to pick up their prescriptions (CVS), and shop for groceries on foot to the shopping area in Martins Ferry, from Wheeling Island, via the bridge. He even went on to say, that people on the Island walk the bridge to save on gas money. I implore everyone reading this, to understand that not all of us are fortunate enough to have a vehicle, and WE NEED THE BRIDGE.
