Stop Blenheim Building more houses in Woodstock - Say no to the Hillrise development

The Issue

Our local community has been devastated by plans to build swathes of housing all across the local area's countryside and open fields. We are a historic town of significant importance and are fed up with Blenheim Estates being able to change the face of it for their financial gain. There seems to be 'one rule for one' when it comes to building on land and we want to make sure our wildlife, countryside and homes are protected! Some of the people who live in the area are have generations of families who have lived and walked on this countryside. We want our environment protected from the pollution, noise and devastation to animals and insects natural habitats that this building work will cause. The houses are not needed - they are in excess of 4000 homes being built in neighbouring Begbroke, Yarnton and Kidlington (not started yet), swathes of houses in Long Hanborough and Freeland being built (not sold) and we already have Park View in Woodstock underway. We do not need these additional houses. The problem is - we need people power! Please sign our petition and let the people in power know that they need to re-think where they place these types of schemes and stop thinking with their greed all the time.

Hill Rise is farmland - it’s the edge of Woodstock and links to more farmland. It’s gorgeous in nature and we see much abundant wildlife and plants including hollyhock alley which will be gone if this takes place. We have a beautiful park and football pitches which the children need as it is more than ever.

The additional traffic will be devastating to this end of town. Old Woodstock character will be destroyed forever for the sake of unnecessary housing.

Current planning application we want to stop is 21/00189/FUL

Let’s save this land for future generations.
