The individual portrayed in these photos is Amos Price, born on August 10,1989. At the time of the incident, he resided at . Truth be told, talking about “the incident” and using the singular is inaccurate because Amos Price is a proven serial cat-killer and has committed several acts of unspeakable cruelty against defenseless animals, particularly cats. Please spare two minutes of your time to read this petition in its entirety. 

The purpose of this petition is twofold. On the one hand, we want the West Midlands authorities to keep an eye on Amos Price as we have reasons to believe that he is still torturing, mutilating, and ultimately killing innocent cats. On the other hand, we want the general public to be aware of what this sadistic psychopath is still doing. Please protect your cats from this individual, at all costs! He got away with a slap on the wrist. 

To provide more context, we have to go back to October 23, 2019 when one of the several acts of animal cruelty committed by Amos Price was caught on camera. Cleo, an 8-year-old pet cat, was perched on a wall on her own property. She was not bothering anyone. She was, in fact, a very sweet and mellow cat. 

Amos Price spots Cleo, opens a wooden gate, trespasses the property, and looks around for a few seconds. He is very circumspect. He wants to be sure that nobody is around. Cleo, being so sweet and innocent, doesn’t move, unaware of what is about to happen. At that point, Amos Price grabs his hunting dog and pushes it towards Cleo the cat. The dog had not even noticed Cleo up until that point. What happens afterwards is infuriating, despicable, repugnant, revolting, atrocious, and unforgivable. There are not enough adjectives to describe this act of cruelty. Cleo is mauled to death and then thrown like a piece of garbage. 

The crime was discovered when Cleo’s owner, Gary Truefitt, checked his home’s CCTV footage after he became suspicious that his pet had not come back inside. Luckily, the footage was a strong probative element. 

After a manhunt, Amos Price was caught and sentenced to 18 weeks but he only served 9 weeks. He got away with his crimes. His excuse was that he was drunk. Anyone who has watched the horrific video must have noticed how circumspect Amos Price was. You can tell that he was in full possession of his faculties. 

 This heinous act opened a Pandora Box. There is enough circumstantial evidence to deduce that Amos Price had tortured, mutilated, and killed many other cats before Cleo. To this day, we have received several reports of people who have plausible reasons to suspect that Amos Price is still torturing and killing cats and “lamping.”

As a general rule, whenever an act of animal cruelty is caught on camera, there have been many other similar acts committed off-camera. Animal abusers are never first-time offenders. This corollary is particularly true for Amos Price. Just imagine if Cleo’s brutal death had not been captured on camera. 

Cat lovers were very upset; but the initial uproar wore off very quickly. Most people have probably forgotten about Cleo and his murderer, Amos Price. We hope that this petition will refresh their memory. 

Amos Price is a traveler and he has been spotted in several areas. He can be in your area killing cats. At the time of Cleo’s death, Amos Price was unemployed and had three children. 

To this day, Cleo’s owner is devastated, and rightly so. In a statement, Mr Truefitt said: “I feel as if there is a big part of my life missing. I don’t want to go home because I know Cleo is not there.”
