As future nurses, we need the best education we can get. I thought I was going to get that at WCU however, since COVID hit we haven’t been getting that. Online learning is hard enough, some aren’t even passing their classes. Why would you switch the way we learn to us teaching ourselves?! That makes no sense. A teachers job is to lecture and teach us, not play games and have the students teach ourselves. We are NOT spoon fed, this is hard and we all work very hard for our grades. For the price we are paying, we are not getting the education we deserve! And the school seems to not care at all, as long as they get paid. We are going to be nurses, who will eventually hold peoples lives in their hands. We need our professors to continue to lecture us! If we were in class, that’s what they would be doing. It’s bizarre to think you can learn to be a nurse from teaching yourself. If that was the case, why would we all be over $50K in debt right now?!
