Stop using First Student, a member of the FirstGroup America Company, for transporation services for the students of West Baton Rouge Parish.

Safety of our children, students of West Baton Rouge Schools, should be the first priority and should surpass saving a dollar. We feel like the school bus drivers are inexperienced and incompetent when it comes to safety and caring of our children. We also feel like the conditions of the busses are poor. They constantly break down causing the mixing of Elementary students with High School Students. Parents have witnessed drivers talking on their cell phones and loudly playing rap music. We live in small towns and the times the children are getting dropped off versus the time school lets out in the afternoon are unacceptable. Parents have also witnessed bus drivers making personal stops at stores and leaving children unattended on the bus. THIS BEHAVIOR HAS GOT TO STOP. Several parents complained that on or around Dec 5 a bus driver who drops children off in Addis, used both hands to "flip off" students!

Feb. 2013- A video made by a parent shows two busses switching students from the bus they were picked up on, to another bus. The switching of students took place in the Parking Lot of J. Patrick, INC.

 Complaints directly to First Student by parents have been dismissed with no changes. Our children are our most prized possessions and we are outraged by the behavior of First Student Bus Drivers. We ask that the West Baton Rouge School Board read through this petition and not to take parents complaints lightly.
