The WA State Government has announced the closure of the Goldfields Arts Centre on 30 June 2017. The closure will affect communities throughout the Goldfields. Not only is it important for bringing performing and visual arts to our town, it is also an important springboard for local artists.

At such short notice, the State Governments decision leaves us with no viable alternative interim venue. The community of Kalgoorlie-Boulder requests that the State Government extend the Goldfields Arts Centre lease and funding arrangements for a minimum of 12 months whilst all possible solutions are discussed.
