The rule that boys aren't allowed to have their hair tied back off their face is absurd. Boys with hair long enough to be tied back look neater, cleaner etc with it tied back (the appearance that Wesley encourages) yet aren't allowed to. It is also a matter of practicality. We have all heard teachers say "if it's long enough to be getting in the way of things, you should get a haircut" but this is silly. Boys should be able to keep their long hair (within school rules of length) and not have to cut it if they prefer to wear it in a more practical way. I believe these are both important reasons why the rule that boys aren't allowed to tie their hair back should change.
