This request is a necessity as there are thousands of missing animals across the United States and in every state owners are scrambling to find there lost/missing/stolen animals. Subsequent a 3 to sometimes 7 day hold; animals are currently being adopted out if not transported to rescues up to and including out of state. Once they go out of state they are basically gone forever unless by no more than a miracle someone happens to see the posting. I don't believe we need to discuss the National Cross-posting and Rescue page nor Death Row doggies as animals are being put down as there hold has expired yet in many cases owners are still searching for them. We are utilizing all social networks to track down these missing family members yet the current laws are fighting against us. Time is fighting against us.The people need help and you as representatives are our voice. Please intervene!

My dog Chewbacca was recently adopted from the Denver Animal Shelter yesterday, after I was informed he was there and I would be able to get him. He is my best friend and companion, and he made the move from Indiana with me 3 years ago, and has been the closest thing I have to family here in Denver. If you are the person, or know the person who has him, please contact me. He has never been to the shelter before, and he got out while I was out of town. Had I known the City of Denver could and would do this without notifying me, I would have crossed heaven and hell to get him back. He is an amazing dog and I want the best for him, but we have 4 years together and I don't think anyone knowing the circumstance would do this to somebody.
