"OK, I've just had one point clarified by a Senate source. I wanted to know how Ran Paul could introduce 3 amendments AFTER cloture had been invoked. That violates rules of cloture.
The Senate source explained that the cloture motion that passed a few days ago, led by Schumer, was a vote on cloture on the MOTION TO PROCEED, not an actual cloture motion for our bill. That's why Ran Paul was able to still file amendments to our bill late yesterday. There hasn't been an actual cloture vote on our bill.
This is incredibly complicated. The Senate is designed to be a slow moving & deliberate legislative body but some of these rules are over the top complicated, in my opinion."

If Senator Ran Paul Admendment fails hopefully, there still are other Admendments, if any Admendment passes it will kill, H.R. 82.
