Dear supporter,

We wrote to you recently about the latest work to protect Singlers Marsh from development.  We have been campaigning for over four years to make it an official Village Green, which would stop a road being put across it and save the river from pollution.

We have an opportunity in the coming weeks to persuade the new leadership of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council to drop its opposition to the Village Green application.  If they do, we can complete this journey in weeks, rather than years.  That would save the council a large amount of taxpayers' money, and give the community a chance to relax!

We are gathering signatures on a new petition.  At the time of typing this message, we are just 150 signatures away from our target of 1000 signatures by the end of this weekend.

If you haven't already, please consider signing this new petition.  Anyone in your home can sign - it doesn't have to be just one signature per address.  So please share this with your nearest and dearest, and perhaps with interested friends and neighbours too.

Your help here could be enough to make the difference, and save Singlers Marsh for generations to come.
