Dear Friend of Singlers Marsh,

Back in 2020, you very kindly signed a petition here on Change.Org to stop any development of the land at Singlers Marsh.  That petition raised well over 1300 signatures, which helped show the world how loved the land is.  Thank you for supporting us back then.

However, we need your help again.  Four years later, Singlers Marsh is still under threat of development.  There is a campaign to register it as an official "village green", which would stop any attempt to put a new road through it.  Such a road would have major ecological consequences for the wildlife site and the chalk stream at Singlers Marsh.

The village green application has been rumbling on since 2020.  It is opposed by WHBC, the borough council.  If they can be persuaded to support it instead, then we can get this to a good conclusion within weeks, rather than the 1-2 years (and a lot of money) that it might yet take.  So there is a new petition to call on WHBC to change its position.

If you'd like to see Singlers Marsh protected from development for generations to come, please read the new petition and consider signing it.  It would also be hugely helpful if you can share the link with your family and friends - signatures are very much not limited to one per household.
