#saveswanseasound - We've reached a milestone

Thanks to everyone who has supported this campaign so far. I logged in to find the petition (at the time of writing this) had been signed by 257 supporters (call me sentimental).
There's still a lot we can do. Keep sharing the link, spreading the word, using #saveswanseasound on social media and contacting your local AM/MS and Parliamentary representatives.
Remember Swansea Sound is unique in many ways:
The first commercial radio station (supporting local businesses) to launch in Wales and now one of the last in Wales and the UK.
It's been here for almost 50 years and has supported the city and surrounding areas in more ways than we can imagine. It has Heritage and Hwyl!
It's unique because there are very few commercial stations (if any) left in the UK providing a local service as this one does and employs local staff who know the area well. They're one of us!
And unique because everyone still sings 2-50-7 Swansea Sound.
Finally and most importantly, if Swansea Sound ceases broadcasting it will never return. If we can save the iconic Big Apple in the Mumbles and Swansea Leisure Centre, surely we can save our local radio station. Don't let it become another distant memory like The Mumbles Train.
Thanks for your efforts so far. Your station needs you!
