Sunday 13th November, during another routine loading of live export bound for slaughter a cow made a daring escape into the waters of the Fremantle Harbour.

After eluding his captors for 24 hours, this poor frightened boy was then violently recaptured and is now again no doubt bound for a horrific fate at the hands of live export.  Wellard has stated that he will not enter the live-export cycle again and we are determined to ensure this is the case and that he be given a second chance at life.

We are asking that Wellard Group - the livestock exporter in possession of 'Freo' - release him to a sanctuary, as has already been offered by 2 well established & reputable sanctuaries, to which Wellard has refused.

To deny this animal of a life free of slaughter and pain is immoral and we implore Wellard to reconsider their decision on his fate & grant him mercy. 

We are their only hope.
