When you seek help from a medical professional, you typically have done everything you could to address it.  But when you go, your concerns are minimized, and dismissed.  If your efforts go nowhere, you may then become more demanding which  puts you at risk of harassing behavior from the heathcare teams,  being ignored, and even gaslighting.

Being a Canadian Citizen gives you the right to receive health care that is safe and adheres to medicine's founding Oath: First, Do No Harm.

I would like to encourage Canadians to ban together and petition our Federal Government to set up an independent regulatory body, 'The Patient's Advocate', which would be tax funded, and holds physicians accountable for their behaviour and negligence. The Patient's Advocate will investigate claims, and award patients' compensation when wrongdoing has been done. This would not further burden our legal system as it would function independently, and would be accountable to Canadian Citizens, to ensure our Healthcare system truly does protect Canadian's Health.  

I am tired of physicians making assumptions and think that is somehow practicing medicine. I want objective care, that actually addresses the issues. 

Let's hold our Canadian Healthcare System to a higher standard.
