I have been fighting for care since 2010. All serious issues identified have been purposely ignored because I stood up to unethical chauvinistic physicians.

Relapsing polychondritis, chronotropic incompetence, tachycardia, anklyosing spondylitis, vasculitis, costochondritis, IgG deficiency...and has now become hypogammaglobulinemia, small vein disease, trecheabronchomalacia (77% collapse in 2010, 87% in 2018, and now my airway is bowing), hypertension, hypoxia on exertion, early onset lactic acidosis, interstitial lung disease, and microvascularchemic Disease.

Due to the collapse in my airway in 2018 I had sought out consultation with a thoracic surgeon. I was denied, and was told that no one will help me by Dr. Davis.  So I contacted the Thoracic Association of Ontario I told them all of the details and they made an appointment for me with Dr. M in Ottawa.

I waited months for the appointment and lived about three and a half hours away. When I was brought into the room, there were seven male physicians lined up one in a row against the back wall, and one of these men was at the door holding it open throughout the duration of the meeting. Upon arrival, this physician at the door introduced me to the physicians all along the wall and then pointed to Dr. M saying, "This is Dr. M, she will be typing the notes for this meeting."

I was not there to see anyone, but her.  What were these guys doing there?  Throughout the meeting, the doctor at the door only talked about my lungs. Near the end I asked, "Has anyone not looked at the collapse of my airway?"  The doctor at the door shrugged his shoulders and said, "No."

That was it. I felt threatened, I felt intimidated, I felt their abuse of power position and authority.  I was not given any consideration or care. 

Months later, in 2020 a referral from Dr. Davis took me to the Respirology and Sleep Clinic at Hotel Dieu Hospital.  Dr. Parker being the lead, briefly introduced me to Dr. Fitzpatrick and Dr. Lougheed.  They promised that they would turn over every rock and help me with identified issues.

I went through the testing and at the follow-up appointment to discuss results, Dr. Parker was sitting on his own this time closer to me; Dr. Fitzpatrick and Dr. Lougheed were sitting together on my left, almost in the shadows of the room. 

Dr. Fitzpatrick and Dr. Lowheed provided tidbits of information, which really wasn't anything. There was no sleep study done, even though in 2010 my oxygen was dropping to 77% percent in sleep, and in 2018 it was dropping to 57% percent. 

When it was Dr. Parker's turn to talk, he was on my right sitting on a chair, about six feet away from me.  He did not discuss my test results. He said that he hadn't looked at them yet.  Then he mentioned., "The good ol folk in Ottawa", referencing the physicians I complained about when I visited the thoracic surgeon.   I immediately said, "I will stand up to that behavior every day!"  Dr. Parker then used his feet while in a sitting position, and pushed his chair backwards while saying, " I think i'm ready to write my report."

Of course, I was overweight, and they completely blamed all of my breathing issues to my weight and deconditioning. I am strong, and if you feel my leg, you can feel the quads. I am extremely swollen. I have vasculitis, and all of the issues that i'm dealing with are not be cared for.  Is it a coincidence?

Dr. Parker has had a team spread lies about me that every appointment that I go to I am treated very poorly, and I don't think it's a coincidence. But once you are done reading my story, you tell me what you think. Is their behavior benign?

Following the appointment I put in a request for my test results from the hospital.  I wrote Dr. Lougheed an email asking her to help me. Next thing I knew I received a letter from the Chief of Health Services indicating the two notes I had written to Dr. Lougheed and that all three physicians were discharging me because they dealt with the reason I was referred for.  I immediately send a response, and it will be on my website. 

Since then, in 2022 I attended Dr.  Sharma's office for examination of my lungs.  The x ray report indicated that there was no indication of tracheabroncomalaysia.  A most recent visit with a good specialist, told me that my airway, in that x ray actually is showing the collapse of my airway.  I am hopeful that I will get treatment now for all of my issues. But the healthcare community has been completely manipulated by the physicians in the paragraph below. 

Dr. Sharma, Dr. Davis, and Dr. Parker have colluded to tear apart my diagnoses and prevent me from getting care. On my website that I am developing, I will be putting all of my documentation to prove that that I am telling the truth. I strongly believe that some of the physicians in my first complaint must have lost their jobs, because throughout 2020-2025, I have been followed and investigated, and it is incredibly intimidating and frightening that this could ever happen!
