Since my son was six months old, he has suffered constant sinus, ear, eye, and lung infections.  Throughout all this time, I have been treated as if I was causing it. And it seemed there was that assumption, because I was always sick, and they've done nothing to help me. 

Fast forward to 2020, I have had my son to Hotel Dieu multiple times, to pediatricians in Belleville, Ontario and constantly being brushed off.  All on the basis of assumptions and biases. No objective or thorough investigations.  They constantly made the assumption he has allergies and asthma. In 2024, he was finally tested for allergies and didn't even have one. That allergist said to me, even if he did have a mild allergy, it does not explain the severity of swelling and polyps in his sinuses. In addition, he's been for a methycholine test and like me, he does not have asthma. Throughout this time, I have told them that the medication they have given me to feed my son was doing nothing. They never changed their approach. 

In December 2024, I had taken my son to Sick Kids in Toronto, and the rheumatologist completely brushed us off.  Again?  Is this a coincidence? Or is it because Dr. Parker has spread a lot of lies about me? Such as there's nothing wrong with me and thereby instigating hate towards me.  It all seems so suspicious.  

Returning home from the sick kids, I received a phone call from CHEO asking if I'd like to book an appointment to see the rheumatologist. Only by the grace of God did this happen that whoever made the referral sent out 2, and the system had not updated to know he had been to a rhumatologist. A week prior to the appointment, they called and asked if this was a mistake and I said, "No, please, I'd like to keep it because the doctor at sick kids brushed us off."

On January 20th, 2025 my son and I met Dr. Christopher Scott at CHEO in Ottawa.  He was extremely professional, objective, listened, and asked appropriate questions, and ordered appropriate testing, which is the only way to be objective. The basic test done was the ANCA blood test. Normal is between 0.00 - 0.22 units/ml.  My son's was 88!  

My son was officially diagnosed with Granulomatosis with polyangiitis.  A rare and serious form of vasculitis that attacks blood vessels and can cause organ damage. All any of them had to do was that blood test alone, at any point between 2012-2024!  When my son was six years old, he had his adenoids and tonsils removed by his ENT.  The very same ENT in 2022 diagnosed him with polyps, and he has had major inflammation in his sinuses to the point, he couldn't even breathe out of his nose.  I have even taken him to the hospital emergency in Belleville, Ontario, and was given s*** by the doctor for bringing him in there.  They never did anything.  No matter how many times I went back with him. None of them helped.

PARENTS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO FIGHT FOR CARE WHETHER IT'S FOR THEMSELVES OR THEIR CHILDREN. 

Where is the professionalism and objectivity?
