Wear jumpers without blazers as outer garments at Inaburra
The issue
I hope you’re all doing well! I wanted to talk about something that’s been really bugging a lot of us at school lately. You know how every morning we have to decide whether to wear the school blazer or just the jumper? Honestly, most of us just want to be comfy and wear the jumper, especially when it’s warm outside or when we're just walking between classes.
The problem is, the school says we HAVE to wear the blazer on top of the jumper. If we don’t, we can get detention, really unfair. I’ve actually gotten in trouble a few times just because I wanted to be comfortable and not super hot out in the playrgound.
**So here’s what I think:** how about we should be allowed to wear our jumpers by themselves sometimes? The jumper is part of our uniform too, and it represents our school just like the blazer does. If we could do this, I think it would make a huge difference in how we feel each day and help us focus on learning instead of stressing about the dress code.
**Here’s what’s wrong with the way it is now:**
- **Comfort and Practicality:** Wearing a blazer over the jumper can be really uncomfortable and make us too hot, also restricting our momevement.
- **Uniform Confusion:** The blazer is supposed to show that we belong to the school, but so does the jumper! Other schools allow students to wear the jumper in school and out, or just wear the blazer when coming into and leaving the school.
- **Detentions:** Getting detentions for uniform stuff is way too harsh! It just makes us dislike coming to school, and worry every second about which teachers are close.
**What I think we should do:**
1. Let’s try a trial period where we can wear our jumpers without the blazers and see how it goes. We could ask teachers and students for their opinions!
2. Maybe we could look at changing the uniform rules to fit what we really need.
3. We could even create new jumpers with the school logo on them for those who want to show off our school pride!
If you want this rule to change, sign the petition and together we can show the teachers our opinions.
