Stop the Overdevelopment of Horam with excessive housing and a large Crematorium
The Issue
The large Crematorium which is currently being applied for by Wealden to Wealden Planning is going to greatly effect the surrounding rural area near Horam, increase traffic down country lanes that lead people to the site through Horam, Gun Hill, Little London, Muddles Green, Chiddingly, Nash Street, Swansbrook Lane and East Hoathly and impact on the safety of the A267. The building itself is very large and spreading, the screening will take many years to take effect, the construction will be timely.
The large number of houses planned in Horam is grossly disproportionate to the Village of Horam, it's roads and infrastructure. The sites planned sprawl into the rural surroundings on farm land, green spaces and neighbouring existing residents that have chosen to live in rural areas. There are so many varied and valid concerns by locals which appear not to be heard.
The impact of all the houses, additional road users and crematorium together has not been carefully and honestly calculated as a whole and loop holes in planning policy are being exploited.
Have your say. Take action before it is too late. Several applications for numbers of houses have been approved with very few objections.
Please, please look at the scale of the applications on Wealden's planning website and make your opinion count by commenting.
You can comment on the Crematorium application until 25th Nov.
