Dear concerned citizens,

The residents of Natoma Station have united to voice our opposition to the proposed development of a cardroom and bar adjacent to the Factory Outlets in Folsom, California. We firmly believe that this proposal poses a substantial risk to the family-oriented character of our local businesses and residences.

Our concerns include:​

• Compromising the safety and security of our neighborhood homes. Multiple local and statewide incidents of violence & robberies occurring in and outside of cardrooms has been well documented.

• Increased risk of drunk driving incidents on our streets. 

• Increased activity in the neighborhood accompanied by the intrusion of vehicles throughout the night.

• Not only will noise in the neighborhood emanate from the facility; it will be created by patrons leaving and entering the parking lot, slamming doors, having loud discussions, blasting music from their cars, etc.

• Escalating traffic congestion on a 24/7 basis. The location is for approximately 170 patrons, not including staff. The parking lot for this site is about 70 spots. Where are the visitors to the cardroom going to park?  

• Endangering the viability of family-friendly businesses at the Outlets and movie complex. The Outlets feature many family-friendly stores and activities that attract youth.
