The Issue

Please join me in urging the Manheim Central School District to hold a public Q&A forum. Let's demand that our concerns be addressed, that our children be protected, and that our community's trust be restored. Please sign this petition to show your support for a brighter, safer future for every student at Manheim Central High School.

Having been part of the Manheim Central community for the past six years, I've heard too many troubling stories shared by friends and neighbors about student experiences at Manheim Central High School (MCHS). The severity of these issues has even compelled some families I know to relocate or homeschool, seeking safer educational environments for their children. The recent, horrific hazing incident that has made national headlines is a clear indication that this administration has been ineffective in addressing these issues. Their continued hesitance to communicate clearly about their plans to address these serious issues undermines parent and student trust.

It's critical we come together as a community to demand transparency and accountability from the Manheim Central School District board and administration. Hosting a public Q&A forum would provide an essential platform for community members, parents and students to get the answers we deserve about what went wrong and what can be done to prevent these serious bullying incidents from taking place in the future. Such a forum would allow the board to articulate their strategic plans to combat bullying, racism, and improve overall student safety.

We can't afford to wait for another deplorable, nauseating and embarrassing incident to occur before decisive action is taken. Your signature and our collective voices have power and, together, by advocating for transparency and accountability, we can do our part to ensure that all students at MCHS are provided with a safe, welcoming, and inclusive educational environment.
