A big problem with iPadOS 26!

With the introduction of iPadOS 26, Apple changed the way we use the iPad to be more like a Mac. But the iPad is not a Mac — it needs to stay simple and great to use!

With iPadOS 26, Split View, which allowed you to use two apps at the same time, is now gone. You can still use two apps simultaneously like Split View, but it's harder to activate and much slower. And for Slide Over, it’s COMPLETELY GONE !

Why bring it back?

Bringing these features back will make the iPad easier and faster to use. Right now, using two apps side by side is confusing: you need to resize the first app, open another, resize it, click the three buttons 🔴🟡🟢, long press the green one, and adjust the windows — all just to mimic Split View.

And what if you want to switch between apps? You have to close one with the red button and then resize the other — way too complicated. Even macOS is simpler! The problem is that we use iPads with our hands, not a mouse, which makes all of this even harder.

And yes, that’s for Split View — but Slide Over allowed users to have an app on the side, quickly move it, hide it, or bring it back instantly. That feature is completely gone, and it was one of my favorite

The conclusion

We want these options back. We’re not asking to remove the new features, but please bring back Split View and Slide Over to make iPadOS great again!
