Our beloved substitute teacher made an indelible and inspirational impact on all of us. We're seventh and eighth-grade students from Ontario, CA, and we bonded with this substitute teacher more than anyone else when we encountered him in our first science class. He is cherished by us, his students, perhaps because of his incredible teaching capabilities, or his ability to make even the most complex science theories understandable and fun.

Unfortunately, Ontario's Substitute Teachers' standard guidelines stipulate that a substitute teacher can only teach for a maximum of 30 consecutive days for the same teacher. This directive, although usually beneficial, becomes a drawback in special circumstances such as ours, where the interaction between the teacher and students is phenomenal, and the teacher's leave is longer than 30 days.

Our regular teacher is on an extended leave, and we need our substitute teacher with us for more than the standard period. Our connection with this amazing teacher is proof that a classroom's success doesn't rely solely on curriculum but also on the relationship between students and their teacher. We would like to maintain this relationship until our original teacher returns.

Therefore, we students urge the Ontario school administration to make an exception in our case and allow our beloved substitute teacher to remain with us until our original teacher can return.
