- OUR PEACE & TRANQUILITY & CLEANILINESS OF OUR STREETS AROUND THE PARK RESTORED

WE WANT AN END TO & A LEGAL BAN ON ANY AND ALL CONCERTS, FESTIVALS, PARTIES AT GUNNERSBURY PARK

These insanely loud concerts at Gunnersbury Avenue, through the spring, summer and probably through autumn and winter - They All Need to be BANNED.

The noise is simply ridiculous, beating and thumping in our homes, loud like crazy, bass and beats that vibrate across the floors, walls and doors and windows, from 9am till 11.30 at night as these crazy concerts perform at illegal noise pollution levels non stop.

We can't enjoy our weekends at our own homes in peace without the constant noise, or enjoy our own back gardens to relax and entertain in, or enjoy our walks, or leisure or sports anymore as we are denied access to our own park.

Gunnersbury Park for decades has been a place for enjoyment by the families of Ealing and Hounslow boroughs, offering large parkland spaces, walking track, children play areas, tennis courts, football pitches, an extensive cycling track, a mini woodland for all to enjoy, two lakes, some boating, a restaurant with food, great ice cream and a coffee shop.  

All of this has been enjoyed for years by all the locals and beyond to relax to enjoy sports, for leisure and most of all a great place for chilling alone, with friends and for families alike.

Recently though with the reopening of the park and the launch of crazy chaotic ridiculously loud concerts and parties in the park and endless festivals of sorts, weekend after weekend the communities and peaceful users of the park who have enjoyed the park for years, have literally lost their park to an absolute hell of noise pollution, public littering, of excessive crowds all around the streets throughout the weekend, chaos of crowds of hundreds of taxis and cars trying to get home, often blocking the traffic, double parked everywhere.  Many of these visitors at these events drunk and often casually littering along the way out of the park, in and around the streets of Ealing and Hounslow and worst of all some individuals unable to handle their alcohol choosing to pee along the front walls of many homes as they please, simply in total disregard for the property owners, and for the peace and cleanliness of these streets and communities. 

This is simply intolerable.

The chaos caused by these parties, festivals and concerts is a disgraceful series of social events and gatherings in the Park, complete hell for the residents around the Park, a complete nightmare for all the residents living in immediately close streets (approx. 73 streets that have been checked around the park where all the residents are facing this noise pollution, the ridiculous bass and the thunder of beating music for 30-40 hours through each weekend).

Furthermore, all this is a COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY DRAIN ON RESOURCES:

• Police stretched in managing the chaos and mess, instead of dealing with real crime instead.
• Fire and Ambulance services on standby and often in attendance dealing with emergencies, that we never wanted around our streets; when they could be attending other serious emergencies instead.
• Council staff - specialist Wardens and Noise Pollution Officers stretched with workload, all to no resolve in dealing with the problem, as the concert organisers simply turn them away and often deny them access to the park.
• waste collection services and collection staff stretched in dealing with the aftermath and clean-up on Mondays.
• Transportation management and chaos on buses and the underground, traffic jams, taxis causing chaos, as thousands come and leave all weekend, through an already busy grid between A406 & A4.

 

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION IN SUPPORT IF YOU FEEL EQUALLY TROUBLED BY ALL THE NOISE POLLUTION, WITH THE CHAOS AND ABUSE ON YOUR STREETS CAUSED BY THESE FESTIVALS CONCERTS PARTIES ETC AND WOULD:

• Like a legally defined end to all these polluting and straining parties, festivals and concerts.
• Like to see our peace and good clean leisurely life at the Park restored.
• Like our GUNNERSBURY PARK back for us all to enjoy as we always have as a peaceful fun place for all residents and visitors alike.
