MD Stockstill Consultants is currently receiving $49,999+ per year from Iberia Parish .  This contracted amount for a Director of Iberia Parish Animal Control is not spending the tax payer's money effectively, and a long time pattern of inadequate care that is ongoing at the Animal Control Shelter warrants immediate termination and non-renewal of this contract.   A full time Shelter Manager would be more cost effective, requiring an annual salary well below the current amount and more in line with shelters of equivalent size in the surrounding parishes. In addition, a Full time on site Shelter Manager would provide full time supervision and training of staff and oversee the facility to eliminate the rampant spread of disease currently overtaking the shelter. Animals are suffering from inadequate nutrition in the care of the facility and poor sanitation practices are contributing to painful infections in the animals and lethal diseases. We need change NOW!!  We need a Full Time Shelter Manager NOW!!!
